The world has lost a legend in Karl Lagerfeld (1933–2019)

We will miss Karl Lagerfeld, who died yesterday at the age of 85. One of the most influential and recognizable figures in haute couture of the last half-century, Lagerfeld was also a voracious book collector, publisher and photographer. We have been honored to carry many books published under his own imprint, 7L, and many books of his own work, published by Steidl. For a proper Obituary and a slideshow of Lagerfeld’s work, continue to the New York Times. > > To see all books on our list, in or out of print, continue to his monograph page. > > Featured image is reproduced from Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld, a limited edition compendium of, among other things, Lagerfeld’s sketches for the Italian luxury brand where he served as artistic director from 1965 until his death on February 19, 2019.
