Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band 1975: Photographs by Barbara Pyle

In August of 1975, Bruce Springsteen released Born to Run, a masterpiece of American rock by a then-unknown artist. During the year leading up to the album's debut, photographer Barbara Pyle documented rehearsals, recording sessions, and many unscripted moments behind the scenes with the band. Pyle was there to record the super-charged concert tour, and it was Pyle's photographs that landed Springsteen on the cover of Time and Newsweek in the same week—much to his chagrin.
