Featuring superb reproductions of 200 watercolors, gouaches, oil drawings and field studies, many of which have never been published before, this is the first comprehensive survey of the artist's graphic work. "Making my works on paper is like a tightrope act between what I have in mind and the material," Rockman is quoted. "Because they are so immediate, they bloom and create themselves. They can function like shadows—fossils or shadows."
