ARTBOOK SERVICES

ARTBOOK organizes pop up and permanent bookshops in partnership with museums, art fairs and cultural events. Our bookstores enrich exhibition and fair programming with carefully curated selections of new and rare titles on art, photography, architecture, design and critical theory. We produce, promote, and manage vibrant events including book signings, panel discussions, lectures, installations and performances with artists, authors, and publishers.

ARTBOOK operates both a museum bookstore and an international magazine store at ARTBOOK @ MoMA PS 1 in New York City. We also organize pop-up bookstores serving the collecting and gallery communities at numerous fairs such as Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Platform LA, and the New York Art Book Fair. Other site-specific pop-up stores have included partnerships with R/Turpan in East Hampton; the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York; the 2009-2010 X-Initiative in Chelsea, New York; the Bronx Museum, New York; the Armory Art Fair; Photo LA; Visionaire in SoHo; and Paper Chase in Hollywood, Ca.

ARTBOOK @ Art Basel Miami Beach

Since 2003, ARTBOOK has run the contemporary bookstore at Art Basel Miami Beach, America's preeminent international art fair. We are also the official distributor for the Art Basel Miami Beach Catalog, and the official bookseller for all of the signings, lectures and conversations held in the Salon.
Each season, ARTBOOK @ Art Basel Miami Beach tailors its selection of books, DVDs and limited editions to correspond to the list of artists on view at the fair, with additional care taken to represent related local and international exhibitions and happenings, as well as the newest and best in theory and curatorial practices.

Arguably the last of the many great entrepreneurial stores that once populated Lincoln Road and created its legendary popularity with the concrete hippie set, BASE has continued to thrive as one of the country's foremost 'lifestyle providers.' Be it a book, a magazine, a piece of music, clothing or accessories from emergent labels or a must-own object for the home or savvy gift-giver, BASE has nurtured the craft of retail-on-the-cusp-of-making-art for the past 20 years. Photo L.A. is the largest photo-based art fair in the country, and ARTBOOK | D.A.P. is pleased to run a pop-up bookstore each January, offering a wide selection of new, rare and classic books on contemporary and historical photography, video and multi-media art, with a special emphasis on important and influential photobooks by such modern masters as Lee Friedlander, Stephen Shore, Jason Fulford and Brandon Lattu.
