"There is no need to explain who Karel Teige was," a Czech writer for Typografia magazine proclaimed in 1927. "I don't think that there was a single modern impulse in our country that he did not either directly inspire or at least support. Architecture, poetry, film, photography, painting, theater, typography—all these bear traces of his insightfulness and modernity."
