Small is Beautiful: Ken Price

This summer, both The Drawing Center and The Metropolitan Museum of Art have mounted retrospectives of the boundlessly creative Los Angeles sculptor and ceramicist Ken Price, who died last year at 77. While the Met show focuses on Price's objects, the Drawing Center's survey (which travels to the Albright Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY, and then the Harwood Museum in Taos, New Mexico, through May of 2014) presents works on paper from 1962-2010. Featured image, the 2002 acrylic and ink on paper, "Small is Beautiful," is reproduced from Ken Price: Slow and Steady Wins the Race, published by The Drawing Center.
