Gary Simmons and Thelma Golden Launch 'Paradise' at 192 Books, NY

Artist Gary Simmons and Studio Museum in Harlem director and chief curator Thelma Golden will appear in conversation Wednesday, January 30th from 7-8 pm at 192 Books, New York. (Simmons participated in landmark group exhibitions organized by Golden at the Whitney Museum that include "Black Male: Representations of Masculinity in Contemporary Art" and the 1993 Whitney Biennial.) Following the discussion, Simmons will be available to sign copies of the book, from which the featured image, "Hollywood" (2008), is reproduced.
