All hail Andy Warhol's The Chelsea Girls, the first comprehensive treatment of Warhol's masterpiece of avant-garde cinema, just out from D.A.P. and The Andy Warhol Museum. Ingeniously designed by Matsumoto Inc., this glamorous yet scholarly book mirrors the split-screen presentation of the film, but also includes archival materials and transcripts of every reel made in association with the film—many of which have never been seen or heard before (for good reason). "There are lovers, pretenders, homosexuals, lesbians, drug addicts, sad girls, hard girls, tough girls, weak girls, girls," a 1966 press released promised. "There are time passing games, sex games, love games, social games, drug games, game games, games. Some episodes are part fiction, others actuality."
