In addition to hanging an assortment of awesome framed prints, Divine assembled a good old fashioned slide show, just as he used to do for his friends back in the 60s--in the basement of his grandmother’s house in La Jolla following a long day of surfing and shooting his fellow surfers. Friends and fans gathered for a true insider’s account of surf’s halcyon days--the 1970s and 1980s--when surfing transformed from beach-town subculture into a popular and crowded sport drenched in fluorescence and neon. Divine projected his images big and bold, just like his work. Jeff Divine with sportswear designer Kent Maul, surf historian C.R. Stecyk and producer Joe Dugan. Publisher Tom Adler with designer Steve Jones. Photographer Deano Mueller with Divine. The next generation came out for Divine. Talent Agent Kurt Clements with Jeff and Julie Divine.
