Happy Holidays from Artbook | D.A.P.!

Holidays should bring joy, and this year, both Dolly Parton and Lévy Gorvy's Warhol Women are doing that for us. Why? Well as far as Dolly goes, that should be obvious. And as for the book, Warhol Women is just way more generous and glamorous than most. A large-format, silver-foiled hardcover with tipped on Jackie, it's filled with both familiar and unfamiliar portraits of Andy's muses, and what can we say? It just feels like the right pre-gift-wrapped Warhol book for this moment. "Warhol women were movie stars and politicians, drag queens and society girls, dropouts and rebels," Dominique Lévy and Brett Gorvy write. "Despite their differences, in his silkscreens they share their femininity. For this, he idolized them and wanted to catapult every one of them to superstardom."
