Paul Etienne Lincoln: The Glovers' Repository at the NYABF

Just out from the exquisitely adventurous art and poetry publisher Christine Burgin, Paul Etienne Lincoln: The Glovers' Repository (subtitled The Tenaciousness of Subterfuge) is a satisfying, if mysterious, artist's book bound so that, when opened flat, two smaller books fold out to lay side by side. Together, they tell the story of 24 historical characters who either practiced, or were the victim of, deception. Each character is represented by one glove in this 2015 installation by Lincoln, who will sign copies of the book at the NY Art Book Fair this Saturday, September 17 from 3:30-4:30 PM in the ARTBOOK @ MoMA PS1 Magazine Store in the museum entrance lobby.
