“I’m not angry now because I’ve said what I had to say and the way I wanted to say it,” Gordon Parks said towards the end of his life. “I’ve said it through photography. I’ve said it in books. I’ve said it in films. I say it in music. I say it in poetry. No, I wouldn’t want to see any other boy or girl suffer what I’ve suffered.
