Featured here are: a 1911 dress with "hobble skirt" so narrow that the wearer could only walk with short, shuffling steps; a 1965 Yves Saint Laurent "Mondrian" cocktail dress produced for Baroness Gabrielle van Zuylen van Nijevelt with a custom yellow pane in place of the standard red; and a 1759 mantua with matching petticoat and train, most likely worn by an aristocratic Dutch bride on her wedding day.
