Page Through the Midwinter 2020 Catalog

We are proud to announce the Midwinter 2020 Artbook | D.A.P. Catalog of new books on art and culture. Flip through the pages embedded here via full-screen mode by clicking on the white open square at the lower right corner of the viewing panel. From the full screen mode, you can always download a copy of the standard PDF (also available here).

On the cover, you will see work by the rising British figurative painter, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, whose enigmatic portraits of fictitious people will be on view at Tate Britain starting November 2020. "Citrine By The Ounce" (2014) is reproduced from the forthcoming exhibition catalog, Fly In League With The Night, which we are proud to have co-published with Tate. Looking inside the catalog, we couldn't be more excited about the upcoming season of books. Important new titles range from an unexpected exploration of the world renowned Frick Collection—as seen through the eyes of a diverse group of writers, artists and cultural figures including George Condo, Lydia Davis, Lena Dunham and Abbi Jacobson, among several dozen others; to a beautifully designed, 400-page collection of writings by legendary documentary photographer Danny Lyon; to a pitch-perfect civil-rights photo-essay called Black in White America by the late Magnum photographer Leonard Freed; and much more. Read on to learn about the new coloring book by Grimes; the newest addition to Takahiro Kurashima's Poemotion series; a big new book on Tom of Finland; a new book on the work of painter Matthew Wong; and The Mayor of Leipzig—celebrated novelist Rachel Kushner's acidic portrait of the grifters and pretenders of the art world.
