ARTBOOK | D.A.P. Showroom, Los Angeles

The ARTBOOK | D.A.P. Los Angeles Showroom is located in the historic Theatre District of downtown Los Angeles and serves the West Coast gift and bookstore markets. Housed in the landmark Wurlitzer Building at 818 South Broadway, our 2,800 square-foot showroom also features gift, table-top and apparel lines from the New York-based gift representation group, Aesthetic Movement.

ARTBOOK | D.A.P. represents books and exhibition catalogs published by the world’s leading museums and independent publishers specializing in titles on art, photography, architecture, design, aesthetic theory, curatorial studies and visual culture to the book, museum and gift markets. ARTBOOK | D.A.P. is the exclusive North American representative of the Guggenheim Museum; The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; Aperture; Visionaire; Damiani; Exact Change; Metropolis Books; STEIDL and many others.

Exclusively for the west coast gift market, we also represent a selection of titles from Yale University Press, MIT Press, Getty Publications and Nazraeli Press.

The Los Angeles Showroom is directed by ARTBOOK | D.A.P. Vice President Jane Brown. The Karel/Dutton group are the West Coast book representatives and Tricia Gabriel represents the gift trade.

The ARTBOOK | D.A.P. Showroom features a broad selection of backlist, new, and forthcoming titles, and is open by appointment only to booksellers, specialty retail buyers and colleagues in the fine arts. The showroom is located at 818 S. Broadway, Suite 700, Los Angeles.

In the June, 2013, issue of LA Weekly, Shana Nys Dambrot writes, "The D.A.P. Booth is a perennial art-fair highlight, its giant neon ampersand beckoning enthusiasts of palatine culture books to the Artbook/Distributed Art Publishing tables. Laden with copies of backlist and newly released gems alike, these pop-ups also offer a rare chance to buy the equivalent of factory-direct what can otherwise only be perused. But having settled in splendidly at its lofty new showroom in downtown's Theater District, D.A.P. also has returned to its appointment-only routine -- it's technically a business that almost never sells to the public, no matter how much art lovers beg and plead. So those who fetishize new-book smells await the annual D.A.P. Sample Sale like bookworm Mardi Gras. The inaugural one in its downtown location promises both a swarm of art students on a budget and well-heeled connoisseurs on a quest for the best examples of vintage, back-catalog, classic and sneak-preview treasures." Come see what it's all about!
