Alas, the summer is over and classes begin anew this week for most American art schools and universities. What better inspiration than the Judd Foundation's facsimile reprint of the 1975 classic, Donald Judd: Complete Writings 1959–1975, whose informative subtitle, "Gallery Reviews, Book Reviews, Articles, Letters to the Editor, Reports, Statements, Complaints," so perfectly encapsulates the 500+ daring and outspoken texts by the radical American artist, designer and architect whose work changed history. Featured spread is reproduced from Judd's 1964 Arts Yearbook 7 review, "Local History," with images of work by contemporaries including Chuck Ginnever, Dan Flavin, Richard Navin, George Brecht, George Segal, Robert Morris, Lucas Samaras, Salvatore Scarpita, Larry Poons and Yayoi Kusama.
