BACK IN STOCK! Henry Taylor

We are delighted to have Henry Taylor back in stock. Born in 1958, this Los Angeles painter's inspiration has always come from inside. He entered the art world as an adult—first studying journalism and linguistics, then working for a decade as a psychiatric nurse before committing to CalArts. In conversation with MoMA PS1 curator Peter Eely, he is quoted, "I'm always looking, and I have peers whose work I check out. I want to see a lot. But a lot of contemporary stuff doesn’t move me like the way Picasso draws eyes. He’s probably the guy I look at the most." If only all artists were so direct. Featured image is "See Alice Jump" (2011).
