Wendell Castle Featured at Design Miami

Featured image, Wendell Castle's "Benny" floor lamp, produced in Rochester, New York, in 1969, was futuristic then and it's futuristic now. Made of gel-coated fiberglass-reinforced plastic with a neon spine, and coated in lime green auto body paint, it is reproduced from Wendell Castle: Wandering Forms, Works from 1959-1979, the stupendous new catalog for Castle's current exhibition at The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Connecticut. Castle will sign copies of the book at 6PM this Friday, December 7, at our booth at Design Miami, which opens today. Visitors to the fair can also see a selection of Castle works at the R 20th Century booth.
