Luc Tuymans Booksigning

Belgian painter Luc Tuymans, whose exhibition The Summer is Over opens today at David Zwirner gallery in New York, will also be on hand to sign copies of his newest books, Luc Tuymans: Exhibitions at David Zwirner, 1994-2012 and Luc Tuymans: Graphic Works, 1989-2012, this Saturday, January 12 from 12 to 2PM at the gallery (519 West 19th Street). Featured image, "Reconstruction" (2000), is reproduced from Exhibitions at David Zwirner, in which Peter Schjeldahl is quoted: "Tuymans follows—and improves on—Gerhard Richter in setting epistemological soft traps for viewers, exciting and then confounding their interpretive cravings."
