Sylvester & Co. at Home

In 2005, Elizabeth Dow and Lynda Sylvester stood in front of 154 Main Street in Amagansett, New York and fell in love with the 1720s Victorian farmhouse. From there, a vision was formed: to create a new kind of home furnishings store with a distinctive point of view, drawing from the interior design talents and retail experience of the two partners. Actively involved in interior design projects at Sylvester & Co. at Home, Elizabeth Dow is well-known for her textile and wallcovering collection, which is distributed worldwide. Lynda Sylvester has been in retail, product design and interior design for 30 years, and opened the original Sylvester & Co. store in Sag Harbor 20 years ago. Since 2005, Sylvester & Co. at Home has offered an eclectic mix of fine home furnishings, a gallery space for local and international artists and the largest collection of art and design books in the Hamptons. >>visit bookstore website
