Our selection covers a breadth of artistic domains, from reference to photography. To reflect the museum’s holdings and our Houston locale, we feature strong sections for architecture, ancient and Modern art monographs and modern Latin American art. We also carry fiction and non-fiction that appeals to and educates children, from board books to activity guides.
Just like an independent bookstore, we offer individual services such as out-of-print book searches, worldwide shipping and reservations for signed copies. We frequently host author and artist book signings in conjunction with MFAH exhibitions and public programs, as well as community events. In addition, we’ve developed our own calendar of highly successful lectures and signings.
A wide selection of gift items complements the book inventory. No admission fees are required to enter the MFAH Bookstore.
