D.A.P. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

D.A.P. / Distributed Art Publishers, Inc. welcomes submissions for books in the following areas: Art, Photography, Literature, Architecture and Design. We are honored to represent the world's most distinguished museums and independent publishers in these fields. We review each submission based not only on its commercial viability, but also on its design and production values, scholarship, and originality.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for your request to be answered. We thank you very much for considering D.A.P./Distributed Art Publishers. If you wish to send a submission to D.A.P. for consideration in our distribution, publishing or co-publishing programs, please review the instructions below and mail your materials to the following address:

D.A.P. has two seasonal catalogues, Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer. For our distribution and co-publication programs the following deadlines apply:

For our Fall/Winter catalogue, send in materials by Mid-February.
For our Spring/Summer catalogue, send in materials by Mid-August.

Please note the acceptable forms of submissions are as follows:
(a) Finished copy of book
(b) Book dummy with color cover & sample images. (Please do not send originals)
(c) Pdf/Jpg files of design samples


If you are a Publisher seeking Distribution, we request that you please send samples of previously published books, as well as information on your upcoming publishing list.

If you are seeking Distribution for a single title, we request that you please submit a finished copy of the book, a resume and exhibition list of the author/artist, a book dummy, the retail price and print run of the book.

If you are seeking Publication or Co-Publication, we request that you please provide detailed information on the book project, enclose a manuscript or sample text, a resume and exhibition list of author/artist, a cover and interior design samples or book dummy, and projected book specifications, including retail price.

All materials sent become the property of D.A.P., and we cannot be held liable for any damages or loss of materials. D.A.P. shall return materials only if they are accompanied by a supplied postage and a return address label. D.A.P. reserves the right to discard material if a return is not requested in writing within one month of submission.
