Gregory R. Miller & Co., founded in 2004, publishes high quality books about contemporary art and artists. The books aim not only to enhance our understanding and appreciation of art but also to make a contribution to the broader cultural dialogue of which contemporary art is an essential part. Gregory R. Miller & Go. publishes books by and about contemporary artists at all stages of their careers, from emerging to established, with a particular focus on artists whose work can be ideally represented in book form. Writers are vital to the publications, and their writings are often integrally combined with the images and artworks contained in the books. "Last year [my partner Michael Wiener and I] bought a Fred Sandback sculpture called 'Eight-Part Vertical Construction.' What we bought was eight long strings of yarn in four different colors like white, black, red and gray. The strings go straight up from the floor to the ceiling...When you stand back, the stings look like they're defining actual spaces as though you're looking though invisible walls. It's the same living room, but now I start to think about walking through or around it in a new way." -Gregory R. Miller, interviewed in the Wall Street Journal.DISTRIBUTION D.A.P. / Distributed Art Publishers TOLL FREE: 800 338 2665 155 Sixth Avenue, NY NY 10013 Tel: (212) 627-1999 Fax: (212) 627-9484 EMAIL: orders@dapinc.com INFO: D.A.P. Bottles aligned on shelves or suspended in the air, jars of marbles and dye-filled tubes: form, substance and structure emerge from deceptively humble means in the sculpture of Tony Feher. His work uses gravity, light and repetition to isolate and animate everyday objects, creating a sculptural territory that Feher can rightfully claim as entirely his own.
