Hiroshi Sugimoto & Darius Himes at the Strand

Monday May 7, from 7 - 8 PM, acclaimed photographer and architect Hiroshi Sugimoto will appear in conversation with Darius Himes, International Head of Photographs at Christie's and co-author of Publish Your Photography Book, at the Strand Bookstore in celebration of Portraits, Sugimoto's latest collection of photographs published by Damiani and MW Editions. Hiroshi Sugimoto & Darius Himes at the Strand

Join the Strand booksellers in the Rare Book Room as they host photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto for his third release in a row! His latest work, Portraits, showcases breathtakingly detailed wax statues of historical figures.

Sugimoto will be interviewed by Darius Himes, International Head of Photographs for Christie's and co-author of "Publish Your Photography Book."

Hiroshi Sugimoto has helped define what it means to be a multidisciplinary contemporary artist, his photographs blurring the lines between photography, painting, installation and architecture. Sugimoto divides his time between Tokyo and New York City.

If you can't make it to the event, preorder a signed copy here!
