Join the Resistance with J. Morrison & HOMOCATS at Artbook @ MoMA PS1

Saturday, December 16, from 12 - 6PM, Artbook @ MoMA PS1 and J. Morrison invite you to JOIN THE RESISTANCE! Celebrate the publishing of the lastest HOMOCATS zine, "HOMOCATS: Join the Resistance," and artist book, "HOMOCATS: Golden Dreams" with live screenprinting on t-shirts & totes all day long!

Combining concepts of resistance with irresistible imagery, J. Morrison / HOMOCATS harnesses the often escapist imagery of the digital generation and the language of social change to challenge and unite. The latest HOMOCATS zine, "Join the Resistance," will launch Saturday, December 16th from 12PM-6PM in the Artbook @ MoMA PS1 Book Space. This new zine covers the further organization of the adorable and the angry, challenging assumptions based on appearance and building communities of support and understanding.

HOMOCATS reject the line separating the creative and the political as a false construct of the patriarchy, and give themselves permission to dream anything out loud. Those dreams are the inspiration for "HOMOCATS: Golden Dreams," J. Morrison's new artist book which will premier at the Book Space with the new zine. Their dreams will be presented alongside our realities as the playful becomes the powerful, and Artbook @ MoMA PS1 invites you to join J. and the furious feline movement as he screenprints live in the Book Space all day long!

This event is free and open to the public! If you can't make it, e-mail booksmomaps1@artbook.com to order HOMOCATS!
