This Valentine's Day, join Artbook @ MoMA PS1 with Omar Kholeif and Trevor Paglen in discussing Art in the Age of Anxiety, a major new anthology that re-examines technology and our relationship to everyday life. They will also consider the social, political and other implications of the last 12 months on their lives and those of others, and the role that technology has played during this time and what its function may be in the future.

Published in connection with the landmark exhibition, Art in the Age of Anxiety, June 26 to September 26, 2020 at Sharjah Art Foundation, the book morphed from its genesis as an exhibition catalogue into a major exhibition in its own right. As a global lockdown coinciding with the pandemic took hold, the author circle expanded, as did their ideas. Themes of digital loneliness, visual distortion, mediation, animation, misinformation, deception and secrecy are explored throughout this volume. Kholeif and Paglen will be joined by special guests Lynn Hershman-Leeson and Saira Ansari.
