| | | ALLIE PISARRO-GRANT | DATE 4/20/2011This past weekend, ARTBOOK was proud to present a specially curated popup bookstore for ArtTable's 30th Anniversary Conference. Admiration-worthy art world women from all over the country gathered over this three day weekend of events to honor their colleagues and discuss the future of their multi-faceted work in the arts.
Above, one of the conference's events in which the attendees split up into small discussion groups. We provided every conference attendee with a handsome red artbook tote bag. Our ARTBOOK @ ArtTable pop up shop featured titles by ArtTable members and honorees, such as Lowery Stokes Sims and Leslie King-Hammond's superb new book The Global Africa Project and Joyce Kozloff: China is Near. Above, Rachel Tenenbaum of Lillian Nassau LLC(center), chats with colleagues during the morning "Coffee and Networking" session. Some of our specially curated titles are seen above (from right to left): ArtTable's 25th Anniversary catalog; the MIT Press' Women Artists at the Millennium; Ree Morton: Works 1971-1977; Mamma Andersson; Modern Women: Women Artists at The Museum of Modern Art; Kathan Brown's Magical Secrets about Thinking Creatively: The Art of Etching and the Truth of Life; and Laurie Anderson, Trisha Brown, Gordon Matta-Clark: Pioneers of the Downtown Scene, New York 1970s. Below, gallerist Sharon Reaves chats with independent curator Donna Harkavy. We were glad to take part in this fantastic event!
