The Lucky, Plucky Chairs is a charming tale of eight old Thonet chairs who escape their doom, and are happily introduced to a larger world of iconic chairs including the Tulip Chair by Eero Saarinen, the Zig Zag chair by Gerrit Rietveld and the LCW – Lounge Wood Chair by Charles & Ray Eames, among other classics. A small selection of these chairs in miniature will be on view at McNally Jackson, and Kalman and Fehlbaum will, of course, be seated on Thonet chairs for the evening.
