Saturday, April 2 at 7PM, Vitra Design Museum, McNally Jackson Books and ARTBOOK | D.A.P. invite you to celebrate the publication of The Lucky, Plucky Chairs with a conversation between author and Vitra Design Museum founder Rolf Fehlbaum and celebrated artist and author Maira Kalman. Book signing to follow!

The Lucky, Plucky Chairs is a charming tale of eight old Thonet chairs who escape their doom, and are happily introduced to a larger world of iconic chairs including the Tulip Chair by Eero Saarinen, the Zig Zag chair by Gerrit Rietveld and the LCW – Lounge Wood Chair by Charles & Ray Eames, among other classics. A small selection of these chairs in miniature will be on view at McNally Jackson, and Kalman and Fehlbaum will, of course, be seated on Thonet chairs for the evening.
