Wellfleet Public Library to host Cape Cod Modern Panel, Lecture and Book Signing

This Friday, August 15 at 8PM, Metropolis Books, the Cape Cod Modern House Trust and the Wellfleet Public Library invite you to join Cape Cod Modern authors Peter McMahon and Christine Cipriani alongside architecture historian Kenneth Frampton (who contributes the book's Foreword) and architect Peter Chermayeff (son of architect Serge Chermayeff, whose work and life are central to the book) for a panel discussion in celebration of this summer's best-selling architecture title.

“Rigorously researched and meticulously documented, Cape Cod Modern narrates an extraordinary era of architectural experiments in spatial organization and materials on the Outer Cape. These houses are not only examples of an alternate legacy of the ‘masters’ of modern architecture. They are diagrams of a very particular worldview and recommendations for a specific way of living—progressive and enlightened, with art at its center.” –K.
