ABOUT THE PANEL: Jane Brown will be joined by Michael Balbone of the Perez Art Museum, Gail Vinett of Ingram Content Group, Tim Niedert of Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and Sudha d’Unienville of ACC Distribution / ACC Art Books. This session will cover ways to better select, order, maintain, merchandise and profit from books within the specific context of the Museum Shop. Panelists will discuss resources available to museum retailers through the book trade including services provided by wholesalers, distributors, publishers and consultants; strategic ways to broaden a selection of exhibition related titles, best practices for working with publications departments and concepts for cross-merchandising books and gift items.
