From the 1970s until her death in 2023, Cora Cohen widened the net of gestural abstraction’s possibilities. A highly regarded painter’s painter known for muscular yet poetic works, Cohen also made drawings, photographs and altered X-rays. This richly illustrated volume details the span of her practice through newly commissioned critical texts and remembrances by fellow artists, making it the definitive publication on Cohen’s work.
