Housed within Venice's historic Palazzo Pisani Moretta, the Dries Van Noten Foundation celebrates craftsmanship as a living expression of cultural identity. In April 2026, the Foundation opened a space for dialogue and collaboration between established masters and emerging talents across the fields of art, design, fashion, architecture, gastronomy and beyond. This volume tells the story of the Foundation's inaugural project, The Only True Protest Is Beauty, which features a rich selection of garments, photographs, jewelry, furnishings and other exceptional examples of craftsmanship from around the world. The works engage in a dialogue that weaves together past and present, local traditions and global perspectives, creating a journey that opens up new interdisciplinary horizons. Essays by Glenn Adamson, Alexander Fury, Ezra Babski and Dries Van Noten himself frame this multidisciplinary and boldly ambitious approach.
