Atoui’s sculptural instruments invite participants to conduct sonic experiments with natural materials
Lebanese artist and composer Tarek Atoui (born 1980) explores the medium of sound and how it shapes perception through dynamic installations and collaborative performances. He tests the unique ways in which elements such as bronze, water, glass and stone reflect sound. Through a series of images unfolding as a visual narration, the volume portrays the exhibition at Pirelli HangarBicocca in Milan, along with Atoui’s previous solo shows at Kunsthaus Bregenz, S.M.A.K Ghent (2024) and the Institute Institut d'art contemporain – Villeurbanne/Rhône-Alpes (2023).
