MFAH's selection covers a breadth of artistic domains, from reference to photography. To reflect the museum’s holdings and Houston locale, the bookstore features strong sections for architecture, ancient and Modern art monographs and modern Latin American art. The bookstore also carries fiction and non-fiction that appeals to and educates children, from board books to activity guides.
Just like an independent bookstore, MFAH offers individual services such as out-of-print book searches, worldwide shipping and reservations for signed copies. The MFAH Bookstore frequently hosts author and artist book signings in conjunction with MFAH exhibitions and public programs, as well as community events. In addition, the bookstore has developed its own calendar of highly successful lectures and signings.
A wide selection of gift items complements the book inventory. No admission fees are required to enter the MFAH Bookstore.
