Daily: 12-8PM | | | McNally Jackson Store: Picture RoomFounded by the team of experts behind downtown independent bookstore McNally Jackson, Picture Room sells work by emerging and established contemporary artists, as well as rare prints, posters, artists’ books and art publications. Picture Room scours private collections, galleries and institutions, and works with individual artists to procure work that would not otherwise find its way into a retail space. It is their mission to offer access to a diverse, researched, relevant collection in an open and informed environment. Picture Room strives to bring to market works not otherwise available to the public by highlighting an aspect of the artist’s work that lends itself to the retail environment rather than the gallery—works made to be bought and sold outside of the exhibition space or gallery system. To this end, Picture Room works with artists to produce exclusive limited editions and invites curators to collaborate as Guest Buyers. In addition, their Featured Artist program highlights the work of an individual artist, collective, or studio on a rotating basis.
