Andrew Roth is a rare book dealer, publisher and art dealer based in New York. He runs ROTH gallery and publishes books under his imprint PPP Editions (1999 to the present). In 2001 he published The Book of 101 Books: Seminal Photographic Books of the Twentieth Century, which quickly became a critical tool in defining a neglected component of photographic history and influencing a burgeoning new market of book collectors. His most recent publication, In Numbers: Serial Publications by Artists Since 1955 has been enthusiastically received and met with international acclaim. An exhibition curated by Roth, presenting the material featured in the book, remains on view at X-Initiative in New York through the end of January 2010. | |
