In A Question of Balance, Taiwanese American photographer Elliot Ross (born 1990) charts how water inequity falls along urban-rural and racial lines within the same arid landscape of the American West. The Diné of the Navajo Nation, the largest Native reservation in the United States, have lived with the scarcity of water for decades; in fact, one in three Diné must haul water to their homes across long distances. In contrast, 80 miles away in Utah’s well-heeled, suburban Washington County, pools and golf courses abound. Guided by a lifelong interest in both art and science, American photographer Spencer Lowell (born 1983) explores the evolving relationship between technology and the natural world in his practice. Futures Past displays over 50 of Lowell’s photographs, spanning from 2007 to 2024—a period of rapid technological acceleration worldwide. Featuring Swiss binding and an arresting cover image of crumpled tin foil, the volume documents a condition in which biological life and technological systems are no longer separable yet remain unevenly aligned. The images—often depicting power plants, lab experiments and computational imagery—are presented without hierarchy or chronology, reflecting the simultaneity of the . . . .go to book page >> | | STATUS: Forthcoming | 8/18/2026 This title is not yet published in the U.S. To pre-order or receive notice when the book is available, please email orders @ artbook.com | KRIS GRAVES PROJECTS ISBN 9781954877290

Martha’s Vineyard may now be known as a preppy East Coast getaway destination, but behind this glossy sheen of traditional tourism lies the seldom-told history of the Black and Wampanoag communities that have inhabited the island for centuries. These two groups have had their histories entwined as they have endured generations of oppression and displacement, both on Martha’s Vineyard (Noepe) and across the United States. I have visited the island since I was a child,” says photographer Austin Bryant (born 1987), where I have long found comfort in seeing interracial and Black families like mine.” Through portraits . . . .go to book page >> | | STATUS: Forthcoming | 8/18/2026 This title is not yet published in the U.S. To pre-order or receive notice when the book is available, please email orders @ artbook.com | KRIS GRAVES PROJECTS ISBN 9781954877283

In 2022, the Ward Commission of Jersey City met to remap the district, as typically happens following every census. The most striking change was the reconfiguration of Ward F, which split up the Bergen-Lafayette area. Attorneys and citizens alike argued that this move allowed politically connected developers to opt out of previous ordinance obligations. Change in the city had already been underway before the Ward F remapping, but the policy accelerated the erasure of the community and did nothing to address the growing affordable housing crisis. In The Chance of Living, Brian W. Fraser documents the residents . . . .go to book page >> | | STATUS: Forthcoming | 9/29/2026 This title is not yet published in the U.S. To pre-order or receive notice when the book is available, please email orders @ artbook.com | KRIS GRAVES PROJECTS ISBN 9781954877061
