Once the artificial slag heap of the Bremer Hütte smelting works, the 374-meter-high Monte Schlacko now thrives as a nature preserve. Photographer Susanne Kriemann (born 1972) documents the new growth on this manmade hill and projects her images into the abandoned department store in the city center of Siegen, Germany.

Susanne Kriemann's One Day is the third volume in Witte de With's series of photographic portraits of Rotterdam. For this project, Kriemann compiled a list of books on Rotterdam, all published since the city's May 1940 bombing by the Luftwaffe. From these, Kriemann selected 115 images and arranged them to evoke the course of one day, from dawn until dusk.

Susanne Kriemann (born 1972) organizes her research projects as artist's books and installations, which she rearranges and reinterprets for each exhibition. She combines her own photos with historical texts and visual material found in archives in both her native Germany and abroad. This volume offers the first overview of her work.
