Le Magasin, the National Contemporary Art Center of Grenoble, was an early and excellent model of the rehabilitation of an abandoned industrial site for contemporary art. It is now emerging from a secondary period of renovation, and this book celebrates its renewal, its history and its ongoing role in expanding the domain of curatorial experimentation.
