Commissioned by UNESCO, Italian photographer Federico Busonero (born 1955) undertook three extensive journeys through the West Bank of Occupied Palestine between 2008 and 2009, creating pictures that illustrate culturally important, rarely seen places in the Mashriq, east of the Nile.
