For the American artist Rajkamal Kahlon (born 1974), drawing and painting are a means of aesthetic and political resistance. She paints over ethnographic, stereotyped depictions, countering them with beauty, humor and sensuality. This monograph features works from over 20 years of Kahlon's artistic practice.
