Inspired by outsider art, Valentin Hauri (born 1954) creates his abstract paintings “alla prima,” i.e. without corrections or overpainting. The shapes in these works often resemble crude glyphs with mystical implications. No Place but the One gathers six series of paintings from the last decade and two groups of more recent drawings.
