This first volume in JRP|Editions' new series on the artistic scenes of former Yugoslavia, published with Centre Pompidou, centers on the radical work of Ivo Gattin (1926–78). He pushed the language of Art Informel toward a "degree zero" of painting, before pursuing an extreme "matterism" defined by somber hues, free surfaces and the play of textures.
