California-based artist Kendell Carter (born 1970) draws from hip hop culture and modernist painting, architecture and furniture design to create immersive installations addressing race, gender and consumer culture. This volume is a survey of work from 2006–2013, including the artist’s recent collaboration with Darren Hostetter.
