Born in Jizan on the coast of the Red Sea, painter Khaleel Hassan Khaleel (born 1958) has forged a distinctive style that blends surrealist elements, symbolism and cultural heritage. His artistic philosophy, which he calls "Dreamism," draws upon personal and local narratives as a powerful driving force.
