Alec Soth and Brad Zellar Book Event at the Walker Art Center

Join artist Alec Soth and writer Brad Zellar October 25 at 3PM at the Walker for a discussion in conjunction with their new book, House of Coates (Coffee House Press). Originally published as a limited-edition artists’ book, this illustrated novel is now available in a trade format. The story focuses on Lester B. Morrison, a legendary recluse washed up in the shadow of a refinery, and documents his life in a series of photographs taken with a disposable camera. In a landscape of off ramps, warehouses, and SRO hotels occupied by terminally lonely men, love and faith break in, quietly offering human connection and the possibility of redemption.
