Since the inaugural fair in 2012, ARTBOOK and Koenig have collaborated on the fair bookstore, bringing hundreds of new and normally unavailable titles by container ship direct from Europe and sourcing other classic and rare titles from the far corners of the United States. Our pop-up bookstore presents over 1000 monographs, exhibition catalogs, theory titles and more, alongside a tantalizing selection of rare books, signed copies and limited editions including 47 rare Broodthaers titles and editions and 22 rare books and editions by Fischli & Weis - including a first edition signed and numbered copy of '"Indigenous Forest Floor / Suddenly This Overview' with unique hand-fired clay sculpture. As it was last year, our store is located at the Southern entrance to the fair, near the VIP lounge. Scroll down for information about signings with Sarah Sze, Sam Moyer, Goshka Macuga, Eileen Myles, and Hans Ulrich Obrist.

ABOVE: Thomas Bayrle, "Parkhaus Köln," 2009. Signed and numbered edition of 35 plus signed edition 5 artist proofs. A truly three-dimensional book, finished with beech inlay, silvery grey card and birch plywood. It is made up of eight pages: two covers and two 7 cm thick leaves. The doubled-sided pages, attached to the 25 cm wide spine with an aluminum hinge, are made up of loopings - curving, bending roads, with a faded out broken white line. Each copy is unique - every page has been worked with in a different way by Thomas Bayrle, using watercolors and collages. The book is protected by a wooden slipcase with recessed grips.
ABOVE: John Baldessari, "Ingres and Other Parables," 1972. Offset lithography hanging wall calendar style artist's book composed of artworld parables with paired non-sequitur photographs on opposing top to bottom pages. Texts in English, German, Italian, and French. Published by Studio International Publications, London.
ABOVE: Gerhard Richter, "November," 2008. In 2008, Gerhard Richter produced a series of 54 works in ink on highly absorbent paper. Using a variety of techniques to manipulate the ink flow, he permeated the sheets to create two related images, one on the front and one on the back of all 27 sheets. In some cases he also applied lacquer or pencil. He had a complete set of facsimiles made so that both sides of the 27 sheets could be viewed at the same time, although some of the mirrored pairs are rotated 180 degrees. This limited edition artist's book displays the images of the pairs, one on the front and one on the back of each page, and ends with an overview of all 54 works. Every page is dated. Hardback, 72 pages, edition of 800 signed and numbered copies.
