Slovakian artist Roman Ondák (born 1966) is well known for his interventions in exhibition rooms and architectural spaces, extracting everyday objects and found images and repositioning them in (sometimes participatory) installations. This monograph examines Ondák’s work, with previously unpublished images from his archive.

Loop documents Slovak conceptual artist Roman Ondák’s project for the Czech and Slovak pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2010. Ondák created a work that hides in plain sight by removing the doors to the pavilion and filling it with the same living plants and gravel paths that surround it on the outside.

This attractive artist’s book presents a “guide” to works produced by Slovakian Conceptual artist Roman Ondák (born 1966) from 2007 to 2011. Organized by the city in which it was presented, each work is represented by photographic documentation and a brief description by a curator, journalist or fellow artist.
Observations is Roman Ondák’s humorous and perceptive study of how language modifies images and vice versa. It consists of seemingly nondescript, black-and-white photographs of domestic interiors, public events, street scenes and objects, augmented with brief captions, which he arranges into thematic pairs or sequences.

The human measurement of the world is the subject of this monograph by Slovak artist Roman Ondák (born 1966). It documents his MoMA exhibition Measuring the Universe, in which the names and heights of visitors are inscribed on the gallery walls, accumulating into a collaborative wall drawing.

The essays in this overview of Roman Ondák's work call his pieces "poetic non-events," and "situations." What kind of non-events exactly? A while ago he parked some vintage Slovak Skodas, with old plates, outside a gallery. Lately he's been giving away chocolate bars, asking the recipients to make something from the wrappers, and exhibiting the resulting works by the hundreds.
