These 19 photographs by Peruvian photographer Pablo Hare (born 1972) depict the town of San Juan de Marcona, a mining enclave in the Nazca province on the South-Pacific coast of Peru. Built in the 1950s by the American Marcona Mining Company, Marcona has undergone decades of hardship.
