ARTBOOK PARTNERSHIPS

ARTBOOK @ SWISS INSTITUTE was a curated two-year (2014-2016) pop-up bookshop at the Swiss Institute contemporary art center in New York. For each new exhibition, ARTBOOK freshly installed an entirely new thematic focus, new choice of titles and eclectic selection of publishers. Browsers and collectors alike were treated to a library-quality display of new releases, classic titles, museum catalogues, out-of-print and rare books, hard-to-find treasures, indie magazines and limited editions. Each theme store was conceived in collaboration between ARTBOOK's Skuta Helgason and the Swiss Institute's curatorial team with input from represented artists.

  • ARTBOOK @ Swiss Institute

ARTBOOK @ Swiss Institute stocked new monographs, theory titles and more. Our inventory changed radically with each new show. Pictured here is our August 2015 Semiotext(e) installation.

  • Our store was curated by ARTBOOK's Skuta Helgason and the Swiss Institute's curatorial team.

  • ARTBOOK @ Swiss Institute opened in September, 2014, alongside "Fin de Siècle," architect Andreas Angelidakis' curatorial homage to Eugène Ionesco's play "The Chairs." It closed in August, 2016.

  • ARTBOOK hosted book launches and signings in conjunction with Swiss Institute events and openings.

  • Small, smart and always surprising.
